CSP Business Media to Launch Products E-Newsletter, Magazine

OAK BROOK, Ill. -- Suppliers for the convenience store industry will soon have a new way to market their products directly to retailers. Two new publications from CSP, the leading information source in the convenience and petroleum retailing industry, will provide retailers with up-to-the-minute information on the latest product introductions and trends, presented in a way that makes it quick and easy for them to find what they need.

Convenience Store Products e-newsletter and mgazine will be the only products publications serving the industry.

CSP is meticulously selecting an audience of 40,000 retailers, both independents and chain units, to receive a twice-weekly e-newsletter highlighting the latest products, innovations and trends. With the February launch, marketers can highlight the benefits of their latest products in the educational style of the surrounding editorial, helping retailers to better understand how their products can ultimately increase in-store sales.

Also launching in February will be the tabloid-sized print edition, going to 60,000 key industry decision-makers. The quarterly magazine will combine product and trend information from the prior three months and be a desk reference for c-store operators.

When retailers are looking for a product, Convenience Store Products will be the guide to which they'll turn.

Convenience Store Productse-newsletter and magazine's focus will go beyond just new products and will engage buyers with editorial coverage on the breadth and depth of the product's lifecycle including innovations, perspectives, emerging customer preferences and whether a given trend is waxing or waning. The publications will be seamlessly integrated from editorial to advertising.

"There were two underlying factors in making the decision to launch theses industry-first publications," said Jim Bursch, senior vice president and group publisher for CSP Business Media's convenience group. "First, product innovation is the lifeblood of the convenience store industry. Second, there was no dedicated product e-newsletter or print publication serving our industry, creating a huge void in the marketplace. As our industry's media market leader and innovator, it was time for CSP to step up and satisfy the obvious need."

Editorial will include several special departments and breakouts by the industry's top categories. Convenience Store Products will have a dedicated editor to ensure unprecedented industry product coverage. In addition to the e-newsletter and print circulation, Convenience Store Products will be distributed at most of the industry's major trade shows as well as CSP's nearly two-dozen EduNetworking conferences and events.
